No one can agree on what the robot voice is saying in any Daft Punk song. The debate continues and the internet is voting.

People are particularly divided over the lyrics to the song, “Daftendireckt”. Some people hear “The funk back to the punk, come on” and others hear “That’s all you got, crazy clown killer”

Another song, “Around the World”, has some listeners confused about the reasoning behind the title, as they can clearly hear the electronic voice effect saying “A rack of squirrel”

When listening, our brains can selectively tune into different frequency bands, so no one knows for sure what Daft Punk is trying to say.

Daft Punk responded with a statement via YouTube video, “Music is up to your own interpretation”. The statement was followed by a dance in robot costumes.

Because the statement was spoke with the same robot voice used in their music, some listeners heard, “It’s definitely ‘Laurel’, if you are hearing ‘Yanni’, you need to get your ears checked”
